Kristy (Waltner) Hoffmann, originally from central Kansas, recieved her degree in mathematics from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA. During her college years, she further developed her skills in math and explored many classes in Elementary and Secondary Education. With the encouragement of her advisor, Kristy began tutoring high school students in Algebra and Geometry. It was during these years that she really found her passion for tutoring math. Kristy graduated magna cum laude in April, 2003.
Since college, Kristy has engaged in many different experiences in the field of eduacation. A few of these experiences include teaching outdoor science education and leading classes at the Boy's and Girls Club. She has also volunteered for a year in Tucson, AZ where she worked in a primarily low-income school district as a math resource educator. Kristy recently moved to the Bloomington/Normal area with her husband Phil Hoffmann. Currently, she is helping out in an elementary school as a teacher's assistant in a 4th grade classroom.
